Established in 1979, South Pacific Rehabilitation had the vision of creating and implementing a superior therapy company that offered a simplified solution to facilities by offering all three therapy modalities under one management operation.

The owner of South Pacific was one of the first operators in California to create and operate such a unique offering of a comprehensive rehabilitation management company that would support services to sub-acute, acute rehab, hospital, outpatient, skilled nursing, and senior living communities. 

Today, South Pacific and its affiliate Rehab Alliance service 10 acute hospitals, over 60 SNFs, 20 CCRCs and numerous ALFs. The corporate headquarters are in Encino, California, and their team currently services facilities throughout the state. California has represented the historical focus of the organization; however, the team is targeting opportunities for growth throughout the broader Western United States and will soon be servicing the states of Washington, Arizona and Nevada.

Jacob Cohen, the founder graduated from Cal State Long Beach. For over 40 years, he has been successful at building and maintaining a dynamic leadership team that shares the same vision and goals of delivering superior therapy services and value to its partners and their customers. It is the leaderships’ passion, level of caring, knowledge, collaboration, and oversight that helps us achieve remarkable results one facility, one patient at a time.
